Over the past three years, Huawei strengthen its Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) for phones and the company has moved with non Google apps.
In 2019, Huawei was banned by the U.S. and the company had to give up on Google Mobile Services and apps for its new phones. Since then, Huawei has released a variety of new phones all of them running without Google apps.
This year is no different and Huawei launched a variety of new phones including the Mate 50 Pro, Nova 10 series, and more. These phones pack solely the HMS ecosystem. Also powered by the latest EMUI 12 and EMUI 13.
Despite of lacking Google, Huawei has focused on smartphone technologies and fed EMUI with new features. For example, EMUI is better than ever, the EMUI 12 and EMUI 13 come with a brand new user interface.
There are new additions including smart folders, service widgets, better screen content management, optimized performance, and a variety of new security features for a safer user experience.
The app ecosystem matters, that’s why Huawei is expanding collaborations with popular app developers. The company is offering incentives and developer programs to support AppGallery to compete against the Play Store.
Aside from software, Huawei is one of the top smartphone makers. Despite facing many issues in the supply chain, Huawei kept on using the latest hardware in smartphones.
The new Huawei Mate 50 Pro is a prime example, as it packs a brand XMAGE new camera system and a powerful lens to take high-quality pictures.
On the other hand, Huawei is providing better design and high build quality, which is recognizable as the top trend in the smartphone industry. These traits add a different level of expertise to Huawei’s portfolio and the tech maker has maintained them throughout 2022.

Huawei Nova 11 to bring center pill shape notch similar to iPhone 14
The Huawei P60 series is currently in the making but the next nova lineup, Nova 11 is also working in the background to equip a new pill shape center hole punch display similar to the iPhone 14
According to the information coming from Weibo tipster Classmateguan, Huawei Nova 11 has started testing with a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ chipset.
That’s not it, the tipster shared a render, which is photoshopped but reflects the intentions of the tipster to highlight key factors of the upcoming Nova devices.
According to the image, Huawei Nova 11 Pro could adopt a new pill shape hole punch design placed on the center head of the smartphone. As for now, Huawei has not used such a display design in smartphones.
This design went popular after it was originated in iPhone 14 series and later introduced in various Chinese devices. The wide punch hole is likely to use a dual camera system, one for selfies and another for the depth of field. Also, it could be utilized in the Pro model rather than the standard.
The phone is using flagship Snapdragon 8+ fully unlocked at high frequency, which could contribute to power consumption. Compared to this, Huawei Nova 10 series went on with Snapdragon 778 for Pro and non-Pro variants.
Furthermore, the camera desing has been rearranged, there is a large ring placed on the top, consisting of a main camera. It was followed by two cameras vertically including a periscope camera. To be mentioned, the camera design is cylindrical similar to the Nova 10 lineup.
As a new phone, Huawei will bring up XMAGE imaging technology with Nova 11 devices.
Huawei Nova 20 series:
Ahead of this, tipsters and past reports predicted the phone to be Huawei Nova 20 series but the company has not made any official announcement on this matter, we’ll keep you posted on this matter.

Huawei launches third party store to sell smartphone with its design
Today, Huawei has launched a third-party smartphone store on its E-commerce website, opening the area for companies that are using Huawei’s smartphone design.
According to the information, the Huawei Vmall store will now offer third-party smartphones under the “Smartphone” section of the website. Currently the website listed smartphones from WIKO and Hi Nova series. However, more of these could be listed later on.
The website will allow users to pre-order and buy these smartphones directly from a website similar to the Huawei devices. Also, these phones come with a warranty and after-sale services.
Looking into the details, WIKO 5G HarmonyOS phone has an 8GB+128GB version priced at 1999 yuan. The Hi Nova 10 5G smartphone with 8GB+128GB is priced at 2899 yuan. The Hi nova 10 Pro 5G with 8GB+128GB memory is priced at 3699 yuan.
WIKO 5G, Hi nova 10 5G, and Hi nova 10 Pro 5G are available for pre-order at 429, 504, and 384 yuan, respectively.
Looking at the chipset, the WIKO 5G is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC. On the other hand, the Hi nova 10 series equips Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G processor.
These phones uses Huawei smartphone design and look identical to what Huawei has already published in the Huawei nova series. However, there are more devices that use flagship designs.
