Huawei Mate X3 will be light in design
Huawei Mate X3 is under work and the company is developing the foldable phone with a thin and light design, says a tipster. Weibo tipster Classmateguan reveals that the Huawei Mate X3 foldable device will come with around 250 grams of weight. Compared to the Huawei Mate X2 (298 grams), Huawei Mate X3 is light in weight.
The tipster also revealed that the phone contains a 4800mAh battery, which is bigger than the 4500mAh battery in the Huawei Mate X2. However, the charger will only support 66W chargers out of the box.
In terms of processor, the Huawei Mate X3 could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G chipset with octa-core architecture. This includes 1 × Cortex-X2 3.0GHz+3 × Cortex-A710 2.5GHz+ 4 × Cortex-A510 1.8GHz. There’s also Adreno 730 GPU.
Moving on the rear camera system may be replaced with a circular design. However, the tipster didn’t reveal whether it would look like Mate 50 or the P50 series.
Despite the fact that Huawei has not confirmed this smartphone officially. However, the tipster suggests that Huawei Mate X3 could launch in January before Spring Festival. Still, there are chances that this event could delay or reschedule.
Coming back to the size, the reduction in weight suggests that Huawei Mate X3 may strip down display size. Still, there is no input on the screen at the moment. Moreover, we can expect that Huawei will retain an inward folding screen mechanism including a main foldable display and an interactable cover screen on the rear.
Huawei Mate X2:
Talking about the current version, Huawei Mate X2 features an 8-inch inner screen with 16.7 million colors, P3 wide color gamut. It is a foldable flexible OLED, that supports up to 90 Hz refresh rate, and 180 Hz touch sampling rate. The main display also has a 2480 x 2200 pixels resolution with 413 PPI.
There is a 6.45-inch of external flexible OLED display, that supports up to 90 Hz refresh rate, 240 Hz touch sampling rate, 2700 x 1160 pixels, and 456 PPI.

Huawei Nova 11 to bring center pill shape notch similar to iPhone 14
The Huawei P60 series is currently in the making but the next nova lineup, Nova 11 is also working in the background to equip a new pill shape center hole punch display similar to the iPhone 14
According to the information coming from Weibo tipster Classmateguan, Huawei Nova 11 has started testing with a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ chipset.
That’s not it, the tipster shared a render, which is photoshopped but reflects the intentions of the tipster to highlight key factors of the upcoming Nova devices.
According to the image, Huawei Nova 11 Pro could adopt a new pill shape hole punch design placed on the center head of the smartphone. As for now, Huawei has not used such a display design in smartphones.
This design went popular after it was originated in iPhone 14 series and later introduced in various Chinese devices. The wide punch hole is likely to use a dual camera system, one for selfies and another for the depth of field. Also, it could be utilized in the Pro model rather than the standard.
The phone is using flagship Snapdragon 8+ fully unlocked at high frequency, which could contribute to power consumption. Compared to this, Huawei Nova 10 series went on with Snapdragon 778 for Pro and non-Pro variants.
Furthermore, the camera desing has been rearranged, there is a large ring placed on the top, consisting of a main camera. It was followed by two cameras vertically including a periscope camera. To be mentioned, the camera design is cylindrical similar to the Nova 10 lineup.
As a new phone, Huawei will bring up XMAGE imaging technology with Nova 11 devices.
Huawei Nova 20 series:
Ahead of this, tipsters and past reports predicted the phone to be Huawei Nova 20 series but the company has not made any official announcement on this matter, we’ll keep you posted on this matter.
