Huawei has always nurtured its users with amazingly good connectivity features. One is the HarmonyOS 3.0 Super Device feature, while the other is EMUI 12 Device+. Today we will discuss, how these features are different from each other, and which one serves best for you.

Interconnection is a demanding service, every user requires a smooth, secure and reliable connection between their devices. As we are moving ahead with technologies, connectivity has started to lacking behind.

Interaction problems among devices have become a common but major issue. But thanks to Huawei, it has taken care of both Chinese as well as global users in this aspect. The company has sheltered its devices with Super Device and Device+ features and managed to offer efficient interconnection services.

So let’s begin our exploration with Super Device and Device+

HarmonyOS 3.0 Super Device

Launched with HarmonyOS 2.0, Super Device is a prominent feature that drives all HarmonyOS gadgets effectively. It allows you to connect and operate other smart devices just by using the smartphone. For instance, with one tap, users can control and manage smart homes, smart vehicles, and other eligible gadgets.

With the latest HarmonyOS version, Huawei has enhanced this feature to more extent. Consequently, various devices can be flexibly combined, interconnected, and coordinate with different Huawei IDs. This gives you instant results in smooth and efficient interactions between your devices.

HarmonyOS 3.0 Super Device

As mentioned, Huawei introduced this feature with HarmonyOS 2.0. At that time, global users were also expecting to taste this feature on their devices. However, the company soon made it clear that HarmonyOS phone-oriented features will remain exclusive in China.

Though users have the chance to enjoy HarmonyOS eye-catching elements on other devices. Such as tablets, smartwatches, speakers, smart screens, and more. Yet, phone features are still in anticipation.

EMUI 12 Device+

To benefit global users with efficient interconnection, Huawei unveiled EMUI 12 with the Device+ feature. Just like Super Device, the respective feature allows you to collaborate with numerous devices.

It makes your tablet or smartphone a hub for nearby Huawei gadgets. As a result, you can easily manage your every handset with a single device. Despite Huawei has tried to provide all its users with equal benefits, here are some dissimilarities that will hype your urge for HarmonyOS 3.0 system.

Dissimilarities between Super Device and Device+

HarmonyOS 3.0 Super Device

1. Multi-Device Task Center

Although both features exhibit some fascinating services for consumers. Yet, only Super Device features can operate several tasks between your different devices. In Super Device settings, users can enable a Multi-Device Task Center that allows switching tasks between devices logged into the same Huawei ID.

2. Nearby Devices Map

Yes, you will find a map of nearby devices when enabling the Super Device feature in contrast to Device+. It allows you to connect with supported devices on the map with just a drag-and-drop gesture.

HarmonyOS 3.0 Super Device

Apart from these features, the rest of the things are similar. To summarize, we can say that Super Device and Device+ both play a significant role in providing an immersive user experience. However, I think Huawei has paid a little more attention to HarmonyOS 3.0 with some additional features than EMUI 12.

Meanwhile, EMUI still has equal part of Android inside rather than being a HarmonyOS based software.

Today, Huawei has officially announced that a new global ‘Huawei Summer 2022 smart official launch event is set for July 27. This marks another big unveiling of smart products that are waiting for us later this month.

Let’s explore the teaser, first come to the slogan, Huawei hints that this would bring us new devices supported by the HarmonyOS operating system. Because Huawei has shared tags such as ‘SuperDeviceSuperCreativity’ a tag that is similar to last year’s summer launch event and Super Device is a direct relative of HarmonyOS.

Huawei global launch july 27

Earlier this day, the Chinese tech maker also announced that HarmonyOS 3 for devices will launch on the same day.

As we move back to last year, Huawei chose to put HarmonyOS 2 at a similar event and the company introduced a bunch of new products along with a jumbo size list of HarmonyOS 2 eligible devices.

The second tag is ‘HUAWEISmartOffice‘, which means there will be no smartphones at the event. Instead, Huawei could bring us a new MatePad Pro 12.6 tablet, featuring HarmonyOS 3 out of the box. And we could expect MatePad Pro 12.6 2022 to drop in the global market similar to the first generation model.

Yes, there will be other Huawei products for the global consumers at the launch but we’re unaware of their exact identities.

Last year, Huawei also brought us Huawei Watch 3 with LTE connectivity, which was also the first smartwatch to equip the HarmonyOS operating system. That’s not it, the company made this watch available globally right after the launch.

According to the information, Huawei Summer 2022 Smart Office Global Launch event will happen on July 27 at 13:30 CET. We’ll keep you posted with further announcements, teasers, and more exciting information regarding this upcoming conference.

At Huawei Smart Office Launch Conference, Huawei unveiled a bunch of new smart office products and the Super Device concept. So, is the Huawei Super Device related to the upcoming arrival of the global HarmonyOS operating system? Let’s find out.

According to the information, Super Device manages different smart devices through one super device such as a smartphone. This technology allows Huawei ecosystem devices to connect and manage each other’s features in a seamless way without requiring you to install a third-party app.

Super Device Origin:

Huawei introduced Super Device with HarmonyOS operating system at Huawei Developer Conference 2020 with the release of HarmonyOS 2.0. At the event, the Chinese tech maker opened HarmonyOS for more platforms including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and IoT devices from third-party firms.

Huawei super device harmonyos

As mentioned above, the feature would let you connect other platforms such as tablets, smart TVs, and IoT devices to a smartphone and let you control them remotely via the corresponding Super Device.

In the world of smart technologies, consumers really like this kind of capability such as Super Device, that empowers them to interact with different smart devices. Therefore, HarmonyOS has gained great popularity among Chinese consumers and reached a mark of over 150 million downloads after 6 months of its launch.

However, in the global market, the feature is released in support of EMUI 12 devices, which could be based on HarmonyOS.

Still, we don’t have any confirmation on this matter but Super Device is a core HarmonyOS feature and the Chinese tech maker seemingly moving on to bring us a complete HarmonyOS user experience in the global market.
