Huawei P30 Pro user facing camera focus bug, blurry view and random crash
Huawei P30 Pro is one of the best flagships in the market, the phone not only comes with a great design but is also packed with an amazing quad camera system. The camera has its own specialty as it could take you farther than ever with its first in the world periscope zoom.
However, a user has recently reached us via Twitter and shared a major bug in the Huawei P30 Pro camera. According to the user, a Huawei P30 Pro camera bug continues to cause focus loss on the frame, while operating the camera app.
Also, the viewport is blurry due to no focused area selected on the view. Meanwhile, the user noted that the camera is working fine on an ultra-wide angle and macro modes.
However, focus loss is not the only bug because the camera app on Huawei P30 Pro also crashes randomly with a message that “cannot connect to camera” or freezes completely. This is quite a frustrating bug but there’s more.
Following these occurrences, the user reached out to customer care service, which confirmed that this could be a software issue and the user may have to wait for the next rollout.
After upgrading to EMUI 12?
There’s more to know, the user reported that the latest camera issues on his Huawei P30 Pro appeared right after upgrading to EMUI 12 version. However, the phone was working correctly on EMUI 11. Yet now, the downgrade from EMUI 12 to EMUI 11 won’t resolve this at all.
On a further note, the user has already cleared the cache of the camera app but the problem still persisted on his P30 Pro.
Solution?
Yes, it seems a software bug and we have to wait until the problem resolves from Huawei’s end. Are you facing such camera issues on your Huawei P30 Pro after EMUI 12 upgrade? Let us know in the comment below.

Camera issue on Huawei P30 Pro remains even after November update
Huawei recently started pushing November 2022 software update for the P30 Pro smartphone in the global market but there’s no effective fix to a camera issue. Users reached us and mentions that the camera focus bug remains persistent even after installing November 2022 software update.
Since May, we’re reporting about Huawei P30 Pro and its camera issue. However, Huawei should have fixed it by now. Since it’s still unfixed, consumers are having trouble taking pictures with their Huawei P30 Pro.
According to the information, there are various bugs and issue spotted in the Huawei P30 Pro. These include loss of focus (automatic) while focusing on a subject, and unable to focus on a subject or a scene.

November 2022 Update:
Past rollout reveals that Huawei P30 Pro is receiving November 2022 EMUI software update with improved system security. However, the changelog doesn’t mention any specific fixes for the camera or related features.
Software issue:
To be mentioned, the majority of the Huawei P30 Pro users found this issue after upgrading to the latest EMUI version, EMUI 12. They stated that the phone was working fine just before we installed the newest update.
So it could be a software issue and a patch or improvements update may fix it. However, we don’t a clue what Huawei is doing in this matter.

I was shocked to see this HarmonyOS 3 bug
After installing a patch for the SuperHub feature, my Huawei smartphone with HarmonyOS 3 acted weirdly due to a bug. Because it has lapsed a feature that was there and I like the most in this operating system.
Following the update, the app snippets also known as app swipe-up gestures vanished from the home screen. I was shocked to see that happen.
As you can see in the screenshot, the bar under the app icons disappeared. That’s not it, the feature also stopped working. This was quite strange, as I thought that the feature has now been removed.
However, the solution was easy to knit and it was right before my very eyes. All I have to do is to restart the phone, which restored the feature as well as its user interface appearance.
Bug:
Bugs and glitches are usual to see in any development software or feature that could appear at any time. Since Huawei is continuously adding new features to HarmonyOS, we can expect these minor glitches to shock us, just like this one.
Be noted, the bug appeared after I installed HarmonyOS 3.0.0.163, which brings a number of new features for smart devices.
App Snippets:
Huawei App Snippets allows you to open key features of an app without opening that app. This is quite a useful feature that allows and you won’t find such capability in other smartphone operating systems such as Android and iOS.
You just have to swipe up on an app icon to open a floating window with key features. For example, if you swipe over the browser app icon, the floating window will show a search bar, bookmark bar, and scan button. There’s also a pin button on the top right corner of the window to make it a service widget.

Android 13 QPR1 beta 3.1 removes Vo5G on some Pixel 7
A few days ago, Google rolled out Android 13 QPR1 Beta 3.1 for beta testers, and some users reported losing Vo5G on some Google Pixel 7 smartphones. Google is rolling out the Android 13 QPR1 Beta 3.1 patch (T1B3.221003.008) for Pixel 4a, 5, 5a, 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, and 7 Pro series devices.
Vo5G:
Vo5G is similar to the voice in today’s 4G networks. In 4G LTE, voice calls are implemented as end-to-end Voice over IP (VoIP) connections managed by an IMS core. Voice and video communication services in these networks ride on top of the IP data connection. When the call happens over LTE, it is called Voice over LTE (VoLTE), and when it is over Wi-Fi, it is known as Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWi-Fi).
Issue:
A Pixel 7 user on Reddit wrote: “Just noticed that it’s gone now, was there in beta 3.0 – anyone else?” Another user in the comment replied with a solution that the Android 13 QPR1 beta 3.1 Vo5G issue may require it to re-enable manually.
However, a user revealed that the option is gone and there’s no way to get it back. On the other hand, a user shared instructions to get this option back on phone (here’s the link)
