Huawei to start fourth batch HarmonyOS 3 Public beta by this month
A Chinese user asked Huawei customer care service about the next HarmonyOS 3 public beta batch test and it’s revealed it to start by the end of this month.
According to customer service, Huawei will begin the fourth batch of HarmonyOS 3 public beta testing by the end of this month consisting of Nova 8, Nova 8 Pro, and Nova 8 Pro 4G. On the other hand, models such as Nova 8 SE and Nova 8 SE Vitality are likely to get HarmonyOS 3 beta slot by December or January 2023.

Last week, Huawei initiated HarmonyOS 3 stable rollout for the second batch of 15 smartphones that included:
- Huawei Nova 10
- Huawei Nova 10 Pro
- Huawei Nova 9
- Huawei Nova 9 Pro
- Huawei P40
- Huawei P40 4G
- Huawei P40 Pro
- Huawei P40 Pro+
- Huawei Mate 30
- Huawei Mate 30 5G
- Huawei Mate 30 Pro
- Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G
- Huawei Mate 30 RS Porsche Design
- Huawei Mate 30E Pro 5G
- Huawei Mate Xs
Alongside these smartphones, Huawei announced the third batch of HarmonyOS 3 public beta for MatePad Pro 5G 10.8, MatePad Pro 10.8, and MatePad 10.8. On the other hand, Nova 6 and Nova 7 series smartphones entered closed beta testing.
Other than these, Huawei rolled out a big software update for 28 Huawei smartphones and tablets that comes with a number of new additions, optimizations, and security improvements. Check the full details here.
Currently, Huawei is expanding the reach of HarmonyOS for old smartphones, as Mate 50 series was the first to bring this out of the box.
At Huawei Developer Conference 2022, Huawei confirmed 320 million installations on smart devices and there’s a 113% on-year growth.
HarmonyOS 3 comes with an improved super device feature, as well as smart collaboration improvements, there are shared capabilities that allow you to share the content across smart screens.
This new HarmonyOS version also gets you better home screen management with functions such as smart folders and service widgets group.
