Huawei has finalized the design of the P60 series and the flagship could appear at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 at the earliest, which is piece of amazing news.

Input coming from different Weibo tipsters suggests that Huawei has confirmed the design of the Huawei P60 series. It is the first camera module that has a giant ring in the middle followed by a camera on the top and a periscope camera placed on the bottom side.

These tipsters have seen the test model, and the company is likely to keep the below-featured camera system, unlike the one that surfaced recently. The camera bump is rectangular and houses all of the sensors inside, making it a hybrid version of P50 and P40 devices.

Huawei P60 Design finalized

MWC 2023:

Another tipster suggested that the Huawei P60 series revealing could occur at MWC 2023, which will be a surprise. However, the tipster insists that it could be the earliest launch attempt that the Chinese tech maker may choose to go with.

Huawei P60 series MWC 2023

MWC Barcelona is an annual event and 2023’s conference will start from February 27, 2023, to March 2, 2023. So, the company could book the last week of this month to open the launch or by early in March.

At MWC 23, Honor will also participate in the launch of its new foldable device. This leads us to a prediction that, Huawei Mate X3 is also ready to enter among consumers and it would make sense, as this new foldable device is ready to raise the curtain.

Past information:

Huawei P60 series could be the most powerful camera smartphone, as it will feature a large sensor to boast better light. Also, it will debut variable aperture in the P series, which is another advantage for this flagship family.

For now, Huawei has not made an official announcement about the launch date. However, there is more information that will appear to amaze us.

Huawei P60 series is approaching but on the sidelines, Huawei is also preparing for the Nova 20 devices and is testing it with a flagship Snapdragon 8 and a high-quality camera.

According to the input coming from a Weibo tipster, Digitalchatstation, Huawei is testing the Nova series with a high-frequency flagship Snapdragon 8 series chipset, although, the tipster has not revealed the name of the device but it’s likely to be the Nova 20 lineup.

Huawei Nova series represents somewhere above the mid-range tier but the Chinese tech maker launches these devices with top-notch specs such as superfast 100W charging technology. Aside from the testing, a past report reveals that Huawei Nova 20 Pro could use a low-frequency Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ chipset.

The tipster further suggests that the phone models also tested with 108MP high-quality cameras and 50MP main cameras. These are quite amazing unveilings as Huawei is using a 108MP camera in the Nova SE models, while the 50MP camera is used in the mainstream devices.

Other than these, there’s no additional information available about the specifications or the design of the Huawei Nova 20 series.

Huawei Mate 50 series is the first flagship to pack with Kunlun Glass, a new type of protected display that brings powerful durability and Huawei revealed that it took 4 years of research and development to make this come true.

China’s CCTV broadcasting has published a new documentary on Huawei, which reveals how Huawei forge Kunlun glass along with insights from Huawei Smartphone product Line vice president – Bruce Lee.

Huawei Mate 50 series with Kunlun Glass is unbreakable and Bruce Lee said that Kunlun Glass has been developed for 4 years. At this time, the company has gone through various challenges and made its way through them.

According to Lee, Kunlun Glass found inspiration from the hard and durable reinforced concrete structure. After 24 hours of crystal growth, 108 processes, and a 1600-degree melting process, a piece of mobile phone panel glass contains hundreds of billions of high-strength nanocrystals, which are impact-resistant.

Huawei Kunlun Glass 4 years

The process also prevents cracking, so that the crash resistance of the whole machine equipped with Kunlun glass is increased by 10 times.

After the release of the Huawei Mate 50 series, Huawei also opened an upgrade service for old Huawei smartphones. These eligible devices could upgrade with Kunlun display including the P50 series and P40 series.

The forefront of such technology has allowed Huawei to provide something that’s not even available on other smartphones. In Huawei’s lab test, it is found that the glass has been dropped on the floor flat on display but it has remained without any damage.

Although, you may not drop the phone on a daily basis but Huawei has made it more secure if you drop it accidentally.

Huawei is preparing to change the outlook of chargers for premium devices with 88W chargers and it’s expected that Huawei will adopt this charging protocol in the mainstream for all of its upcoming flagships.

Other than the 88W charger, Huawei will also use a super fast 100W charger for smartphones. However, it’s primarily been used in the Nova series for the past two years.

Looking more into the matter, Huawei also has a 120W charger but there’s no information available about the release. More information reveals that Huawei uses moderate speed charging protocols to ensure safety for consumers and long battery life.

Still, 88W and 100W provide a faster phone charging experience than 66W packed with P50 series and Mate 60 series.

88W charger:

Recently, Huawei certified a new 88W charger through Telecommunication Equipment’s Network Access Management (TENAA) with an 88W output. The listing reveals that the charger has a model number – HW-200440C00 with 4.4A/20VDC = 88W charging capacity.

The charger supports 10W, 40W, and 66W backward charging compatibility. It is manufactured by ASAP Technology (JIANGXI) co. Limited China. Below you can check more information about the charger.

HW-200440C00 supports input: 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz, 2.4A. It outputs: USB-C: 5VDC, 3A or 9VDC, 3A or 10VDC, 4A or 11VDC, 6A MAX or 12VDC, 3A or 15VDC, 3A MAX or 20VDC, 4.4A MAX. If you use USB-A, then it’ll get you an output of 5VDC, 2A or 10VDC, 4A or 11VDC, 6A MAX or 20VDC, 4, 4 A MAX. The charger is only suitable for altitudes of 5000 meters.

Currently, we don’t have any information about its use case but we could assume it packs with Huawei P60 series.

It’s a festive season in China but Huawei is preparing for the next big thing from the P series. Now we have a new Huawei P60 Pro concept render with a periscope camera and curved edge display, which looks cool.

An official Huawei P60 series announcement is yet to come but concept creator HoiINDI continues to bring in a new stack of CAD render to keep us excited about this upcoming.

Let’s dive into the renders.

Huawei P60 Pro is envisioned with a new camera system, which is quite popular in the leaks bytheway. It has a new P40 series with a vertical rectangular camera bump and a large ring in the center.

The camera in the center could be the main sensor and it may be inspired by P50 Pro or the latest Nova devices. Coming the bottom opening, it has a periscope camera, which is seen as a marquee feature for Pro models. However, it may not be the case with the standard, as it relies on optical zoom.

The camera system also has an extra camera on the top alongside an LED flash to capture bright images. The renders show XMAGE branding but Huawei hasn’t used it on Mate 50 Pro, released last year.

Huawei P60 Pro render

Coming to the front side, it has a curved edge display, which is also a Pro model specialty. On the other hand, the Huawei P60 Pro render shows quite slim bezels around the corners, which is also a nice touch to the details.

Overall, this is a good representation of what we will witness but there might be some surprises waiting for us on the other side. To note, these concept renders are compiled with past leaks and rumors and don’t represents the official release.

More:

There are a number of rumored specs sheets and leaks that appeared in front of us but you can check the latest details about the Huawei P60 series in the article linked below.
