Huawei Mate X2 folding phone and the ultimate Mate 40 series are back in the sale stage. Despite the lack of Huawei Kirin 9000 chipsets, the devices are available for buying purposes but with some hidden twists.

To begin with, earlier we reported that the Mate X2 foldable is no longer available on the official Huawei website (Vmall). The reason behind the device’s unavailability could be the shortage of Kirin 9000 processors.

However, the latest input reveals that users can still purchase the Mate X2 phones. Though Huawei has removed folding smartphones from its official stores, they are still available at third-party offline stores.

In addition to the Mate X2 devices, the Huawei Mate 40 series is also aligned on the sale platform. The only difference is that the foldable gadget is now selling via offline stores. While the Mate 40 series is accessible at online shopping channels.

Are Kirin 9000 chipsets in stock?

The available stock of Mate X2 and Mate 40 has given rise to a significant question – Are Kirin 9000 chipsets in stock? Previously, the company stated that the respective chips are no longer available for an unlimited period.

But as per the latest hints, there is still a limited supply of Kirin 9000 processors. Although it is quite difficult to say how much stock is left.

On the sideways, the input also suggests that the tech maker has not stopped the Mate X2 or Mate 40 smartphone production. Perhaps, we could find these devices back on the official websites.

When Kirin processors will return?

It’s worth mentioning that both Mate X2 and Mate 40 models equip the dynamic Kirin 9000 chips on their surface. The tech processor uproots over a 5nm process and features an octa-core framework.

In the meantime, we heard several tweaks regarding the return of the Kirin chipsets. Yet Huawei didn’t emit any word on this concept. Recently, Kirin chipset entered a new video-sharing platform. Thus, we could assume a comeback of the Kirin chips in the time ahead.

HarmonyOS 3.0 is the latest interface on which Huawei is working with full concentration. The company is constantly making efforts to add some best features to its devices through beta iterations. Currently, we are having another HarmonyOS 3.0 beta for the Huawei Mate 40 series that brings the September 2022 security patch.

As per the reports, the September 2022 HarmonyOS 3.0 beta for the Huawei Mate 40 series is arriving with a 3.0.0.126 build. Although, there isn’t any specific information regarding the update size. Yet, we would recommend keeping 800MB to 1.0GB of free storage in your smartphone.

Since the update is approaching a huge series, you might be wondering which Mate 40 models will receive this firmware. To get the answer, check the below-given list.

But to benefit from these optimizations, your respective smartphone must be running on a baseline version of 3.0.0.116/ 3.0.0.117/ 3.0.0.118.

Huawei and its work related to the development of Mate 50 devices is still in progress. New leaks and rumors describe how the upcoming series will be a legend in the smartphone market. Yet, the company doesn’t want anyone to forget about the older devices and has once again listed the Huawei Mate 40 series on its official website.

So far, the Chinese manufacturer has removed the high-end Huawei Mate 40 lineup from its rack, but now they are again available on the main Vmall website. Interested users can take advantage of this moment to grab the high-profiled handset.

However, one must note that instead of the entire Mate 40 series, only some specific models are available on the website. For instance, the standard Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, and Mate 40 Pro 5G. Surprisingly, the cost of these models are starting from 5499 yuan [807.86 USD].

The standard model carries a price tag of 5499 yuan [808.26 USD]. Besides, the Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro 5G are accessible at 6099 yuan [896.45 USD] and 5499 yuan respectively.

Huawei Mate 40 website

For this moment, the above-mentioned models do not avail for the sale purpose. Probably, we might find them by the dusk of this day. In the meantime, let’s explore what traits the Mate 40 series bring in its pocket.

Huawei Mate 40 series – Dynamic Processors

Although, the Mate 40 members share identical features. Yet the main difference arises in the processors’ aspect. The classic Mate 40 handset equips with a Kirin 9000E chipset. Whereas, the Pro version relies upon the Kirin 9000 processor.

Both the chipset has a slight distinction between them. While the Kirin 9000E stands on 22 cores, the Kirin 9000 chip uses a 24-core version. On the other hand, the Kirin 9000 uses the NPU combination of 2 large cores and 1 microcore. But, Kirin 9000E has the combination of 1 large core and 1 microcore.

But, there is no difference in terms of performance and efficiency among both the tech-pack processors. Alongside, the Mate 40 series brings an amazing lens shutter that uplifts the image quality and brings out the best snapshot outcomes for you.

According to the latest information coming from well known Weibo tipster, Huawei will no longer produce the 12GB RAM version of the Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design. This means the company will keep the 8GB version in stock in the future.

Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design: 12GB RAM

Every year, Huawei collaborates with Porsche to unveil a special edition of the Mate series flagship. Last October, Huawei unveiled the Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design, a premium phone equipped with the power 5nm Kirin processor and a Penta camera setup as well as a temperature sensor.

Initially, this mega budge phone was launched with 12GB+256GB at a price of 11,999 yuan and 12GB+512GB at 12,999 yuan.

Huawei Mate 40 RS: 8GB RAM version

To increase its availability, in March this year, Huawei launched the 8GB version of this Mate flagship and listed this device with a price of 10,999 yuan for 8GB+256GB memory.

It’s a good Choice:

The decision could be taken in the face of reducing component stock and in the name of an issue that has occurred in the supply chain after the U.S. sanction. So, the Chinese tech giant may want to save the high memory components for the later to be released devices, yet we don’t have any official confirmation on this matter.
