But what about its software system? FYI, Huawei Nova 5T comes with a pre-installed EMUI 9.1 system and it has received version upgrades to EMUI 10.0, EMUI 10.1, and EMUI 11.

But with the launch of HarmonyOS, Huawei seems to have confirmed that it won’t develop any major version for the EMUI software system because of its upcoming HarmonyOS rollout roadmap.

Ever since the announcement of HarmonyOS, users have been continuously concerned about the Nova 5T’s eligibility for this operating system.

“Will my Huawei Nova 5T receive HarmonyOS?” many users have asked us the same question

Let’s try to answer this question:

Although Huawei is yet to confirm this question but we can run our own horses on this matter with some facts that you need to know.

In June 2019, Huawei initially launched Huawei Nova 5 series in China, the series consists of three models – Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro, and Nova 5i.

And the interesting thing is that these devices are included in the HarmonyOS eligible devices, so the same fate will be decided for the Nova 5T.

When my Nova 5T will receive HarmonyOS?

Huawei Nova 5 Pro, which is the top model from this lineup, is selected for the third batch of HarmonyOS eligible devices and schedule to test HarmonyOS by the fourth quarter of 2021.

However, Huawei may speed up the testing process and could bring the testing in the third quarter of this year.

So, we can expect that HarmonyOS will be part of the beta rollout in the second batch of global beta testing somewhere in the last quarter of 2021 or the first quarter of 2022.

Still, there’s no confirmation on this matter and we’ll have to wait for more information on this matter.
