First Huawei laptop with Kirin 990 chipset to launch initially for enterprise users, able to upgrade with HarmonyOS

Since the establishment of its consumer business, Huawei has turned the table with the launch of new consumer products such as smartphones, tablets, smart wearables, and computers.

In the past, Huawei has launched a bunch of computers and evolved them with new designs as well as hardware specs. For instance, the MateBook laptop series, which now come in various models as well as specifications that suit perfectly for different user preferences.

In the latest installment, Huawei has expanded its focus in the computer industry and now eyeing the business PCs section. Related to this, the Chinese tech giant recently released its MateStation PCs for the consumers and government offices in the Chinese territory.

Now, a new piece of information suggests that the company is preparing to launch its first-ever laptop to equip Kirin 990 chipset. However, initially, this laptop will be available for the government offices and enterprise customers, and the price to start from 7000 yuan (over 1000 USD).

According to a previous report, the laptop is named Huawei Qingyun L410 and it has a 14-inch display with 2k resolution for a maximized viewing experience, 8GB + 512GB of memory storage combination, it’ll have a pre-installed UOS 2.0 software system.

Furthermore, and more importantly, this laptop will be able to upgrade with HarmonyOS in the future installment of the system, which is allowed by its architecture. Later the company is also planning to introduce it to general consumers.

To be mentioned, because of the Kirin 990 chipset, the laptop will be able to establish and provide 5G connectivity for the consumers for faster internet access.

Still, Huawei hasn’t moved an inch on its announcement but we’ll have to wait to get it done officially from the company’s side.

Today, Huawei officially launched MatePad SE 10.4 in China with 6GB of RAM, which wasn’t available in the global market. According to the information, Huawei MatePad SE 10.4 in China is launched at 1299 yuan for the 4GB version and 1499 yuan for the 6GB version. Huawei is rolling out HarmonyOS 3.0.0.193 for MatePad 11, upgrading from HarmonyOS 3.0.0.190/163. While on the other hand, Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8 is getting HarmonyOS 3.0.0.193 upgrading from HarmonyOS 3.0.0.163. Below you can check the eligible tablet models to get a new software update.
